The Blame Game is a project that I created for the DUMBO Arts Festival in Brooklyn, NY during the fall of 2008, two months before the presidential election. I designed an instillation that visitors could enter and “vote” on who they would blame if they knew the world would end tomorrow. The project for me was a way to tap into the psyche and get an understanding of who people thought might be responsible for the appocolyps, why it may have come to an end and whether or not they dare relate the question back to them selves. The results were interesting and at times funny, you can see these on the “original results” page. At the time I had created another blog where I had hopes participants would visit and share a bit of their experience… unfortunatly no one visited. Alas two years latter I am attenpting to reintroduce the project and spark some dialogue.
Who is responsible for our future. We need to know this- do we know this already? I think so, in part, but what do others think? I’m curious. Please vote and share your thoughts.
